How do you enjoy Kimchi in Winter?

VERY Simple ways to enjoy Kimchi

It has been snowing since December here. I know that many people don’t like snow. But, I love snow, and I like winter most. Winter makes me think a lot, especially it reminds me of something warm and soft. So, here I prepared two dishes that will make your body warm. These are very healthy and low calories, so you don’t need to worry about your weight or health. Also, these are made of only vegetables.

1. Sweet Potato with Kimchi

When winter is coming, my mother always buy a box of sweet potatoes especially yellowish sweet potatoes like in the picture below. Koreans call it ” pumpkin sweet potato” because it tastes sweeter and softer than the others.(I don’t know the name in English.) Anyway, baked sweet potatoes are usually too dry to eat without water. If you have Kimchi, it’s not a problem at all. Kimchi and warm sweet potatoes can be a very good combination.

2. Tofu with Fried Kimchi

Tofu is one of the most common food in Korea. Sometimes people eat tofu only with soy sauce, or put it into any soup. Tofu is not salty and not sweet. It means that it needs Kimchi to be more delicious and enjoyable. You can easily find this combination in any pubs in Korea because it is much better with Korean drinks like Soju or Makgeolli. Well.. I put some smoked duck meat there. So, it’s not only for vegetarians. Koreans usually eat tofu with fried kimchi and fork.(If you have fork and if you want some meat.)
